I, for instance, just can't seem to like Glock. (This is NOT to be a Glock-bashing thread, mmmkay?)

I find the grips just too "chunk" for my tastes. The few I've shot, I've shot well enough; but they're just not for me.

But I WANT to like 'em just for the sake of convenience, if you will, of having an aftermarket that's just about unparralleled.

I'm also not a real big fan of my buddy's XD-45. Again...a chunky grip. I shoot it fine, too...but too big for my own personal tastes.

And while I'm adding up blasphemies: I'm not a single action auto fan either.

    So there!

What about youins? Anything you just can't bring yourself to like?

Well, Glocks for one. I would like to like them, but like you, its a grip thing.
Also same goes for the Ruger P series pistols.
I also try to like an AR, just can't seem to shoot them well, no matter how hard I try.

Ok, I'll jump in. I'm not a fan of (you guessed it) Glocks. The grip angle isn't comfortable to me, and I despise the takedown lever on them. Just personal preference. They're good shooters, the aftermarket is third only to the 1911 and AR aftermarkets, and they're reliable. Just can't get in 'em.

OTOH, I love my HiPoint 9mm carbine. Oh, it's ugly as sin, the cheek slap can get irritating, the inability to find reliable magazines that hold more than 10 rounds, I could go on. But I have so much fun shooting it.

I can't bring myself to like Walthers of any stripe <ducks thrown stones>. The PP/PPK/TPH family railroad tracks my hand and IME are unreliable shooters, the P99 has a funky mag release and a trainwreck of a trigger, and the P38, while groundbreaking in its day, is generally unremarkable by today's standards. I've also shot the PPS and was not favorably impressed.

I have a buddy who's a complete Walther nut, so I have plenty of exposure to the guns, I just don't get along with 'em. But that's fine, cuz my buddy doesn't really cotton to Glocks, either. ;)

I also don't care at all for the current crop of FN guns that seem so popular these days. FS2000, PS90, Five-Seven, FNP and FNAR are all WAY overrated, IMO.

I can manage the Glock grip frame. The Springfield XD is just a little worse but if I had to I'd tolerate it. But the Smith & Wesson M&P is just NOT going to ever happen for me. Not sure why, but the gun simply does not fit my hand.

    I don't like High Points, CZ's, most Tauras's and I don't know why really.
I just bought a Glock 19 and while I really like it. The grip (finger notches) does not match up to my hand very well. I think I would like the 2nd generation much better. Not saying any of the mentioned above are junk but All so can not stand junk pistols. Poorly made or poorly taken care of I don't want anything to do with it.

Geez guys!! Let's break up the monotony..

I have tried, and I mean REALLY TRIED, to be a 1911 fan. I have a Springfield that I carry, and I'm cleaning up a really nice Colt bringback for my FIL, but I just can't get the feel down. I'm comfortable with carry, I like the feel, and I feel pretty confident that I could do 5/8 on a full-size target, but I just can't get any more accurate than that. Bowling pin shoot?? Not with mine, at least not to hit things intentionally..

I also don't care for derringers.. just too much kick for me!!

+1 on the Glock. I owned a G19 for 15 years. Very reliacle but just didn't 'click.' Sold it, bought a CZ P-01, and couldn't be happier.

Im gonna post this and run like hell...... please dont hunt me down over this...lol

I love the look of 1911's But not a fan of low-cap mags. You usually have to mod & tweak them to make them reliable and accurate. And thet cost 2much to have to sink more money into. Then you got the price of ammo. And then reloading equipment to reduce ammo cost over the long run. I dont want 8rds that might go bang and might hit near the spot its pointed.

This is why I carry a CZ-75. mine is polished stainless with nice coco-bolo wood grips..... as nice or nicer than any 1911. Winning by a land slide it is more accurate 16rds right on target, More durable "frame slide and parts are all stainless steel". Larger mag capacity (16 rd standard mags 19rd after market mags). And much cheaper ammo even at todays prices. And at 18-20 cents per round reloading is a choice not a way of life. And best thing is the preparedness and reliability of being cocked n locked. Just like the 1911! Except this gun wont fail on you!

Yeah, I'll play. Not bashing anything here, some of these just aren't for me.

Glocks- I had and carried a G19, but man that crappy grip angle is a killer. I just don't dig the ergonomics.

Ruger Super Redhawks- The gun itself is a real winner, but geez, has anybody ever looked at one? Put a bag (or four) over that thing, man!

    Beretta 92s- Yeah, I'll pass.

Browning shotguns- Yeah, so sue me. I think they're gaudy and non traditional.

I've got more, but this is a start.
