Are there any Gun safety courses for children?

Sure:

The NRA offers the Eddie Eagle program. Some schools use the material.
Eddie Eagle Safety Program

Are your kids in scouts?
Shooting Sports

For slightly older kids, 4H offers shooting programs
National 4-H Shooting Sports

As does the American Legion
Shooting Sports | The American Legion | Veterans Serving Veterans

If you are talking teens or even pre-teens, then the NRA Firearms Safety or even the Basic Pistol classes are very good. Lots of ranges offer these courses.
NRA Education and Training

I think the Danville CC (see my sig) will be setting up another Basic Pistol class in the early Fall. Check the website for info. They also offer a Youth Program based on demand.
