I would say that cowards pay someone else to carry.....to protect them. Like politicians, movie stars, and a variety of other liberals.

Their problem is not the NRA or gun owners - it's that darn old Constitution. If they could just get rid of that antiquated document they could make the world a better place for all of the special snowflakes........ But blaming the NRA somehow sounds more "reasonable".

This, of course, is directly out of the liberal/progressive/socialist playbook by Saul Alinsky. Both Obama and Hillary studied dirty "community organizing" tricks under him. I encourage everyone to familiarize themselves with his ideas as documented in his "Rules for Radicals" book. It's an interesting read but if you want a summary, Glenn Beck's summary is good:

    http://www.bestofbeck.com/wp/activism/saul-alinskys-12-rules-for-radicals

This article is mainly along the lines of Rule #5 but you also often see Rule #12 played out quite effectively these days. Once you familiarize yourself with these tactics, and they are ABSOLUTELY dirty tricks, you will recognize them for what they are and be able to push back. I think this is one reason why Donald Trump is having so much success against the MSM and others who are continually attacking him personally. He recognizes what they are doing and counters it head on. That's one problem with Alinsky's rules, they lose effectiveness when people start seeing them for what they are, DIRTY TRICKS!

I wonder why if this person is so strong in their beliefs, they don't put their name to it. I don't see any articles that tell who wrote them......Odd?

I read the preface of a book by a man going by the name Richard Bachman.
I knew who he really was before buying the book.
I think it was "The Bachman Books".
Anyway, "Richard" said that people usually used pen-names when they knew the writing was sub-par.
His quote was something like, "...most people seem to think if you use a pen-name your work must suck like an Electrolux. If you were proud of your work you used your real name."

That man was Stephen King. His publisher forced him to use a pen-name thinking he was flooding the market with Stephen King books.
In the case of the author above, I think his work sucks... well, you know.

Odd that as I scrolled to the bottom of his blog post, there was NO place to leave a comment or feedback. I DID, however, see a button that said "Be the first person to like this."

I guess no one else likes his bull****, either.

Had one of my lefty friends get all pissy with me for carrying a handgun. She sounded a bit like this article. She argued to death that a gun was never the answer. In some instances, a gun is the answer. There's no way around that. You can't talk down or de-escalate every situation. de-escalation or getting out of a situation is optimal. But if it's not possible, and the situation is life threatening, you better either have your gun on you, be very experienced in hand to hand, or be prepared to be a victim and let the cards fall as they may. (FYI, she wasn't experienced in any form of self defense).

I've had to listen to this line of talk as well, from a co-worker. And boy, she wouldn't let up. After she finished, I asked her why she thought being a victim was somehow morally superior to me being a man who was willing to defend myself/loved ones/property. <crickets>

This same gal also chided me that holding a door open for a lady was misogynistic.

We only talk about work-related items now.

I love that one. When they get mad at me for holding a door open "because they're a woman," I just tell them that I hold the door for people in general, sex doesn't matter, because I'm a nice person. Shuts them up real quick. I treat all people equal.

I also hold the door for anyone, because I was raised to be mindful of others' needs, and it is an easy, small gesture toward that end. But I will go out of my way to do so for a woman, and especially an elder woman. I must ask: when did men holding women in a position of greater respect and honor, such that they would do things for them such as hold doors, walk on their street-facing side, etc. become a sign of disrespect and dishonor?

My parents taught me to respect and honor women, and at the very least, I'll raise my girls to expect that same respect and honor from men - and to be no more ashamed of that expectation than I am to express it.
