True. The way it was taught was in the context of a squad/platoon size element. If you were on your own you were told to save your ammo. Telling the guy he is wrong wouldn't be the way to go. walking him into a corner with his one guy could do this line, would. the next question would be, " If you are implying one lone gunman could do this, the military would disagree with you and they do have some experience in this area."

Jesse is a propaganda robot. His lips are moving but his brain isn't. At under 1000 yards I think a hit would be more likely with a 24" barrel hunting rifle (.308, 30-06, .300 mag., etc) than a 16" barrel .223/5.56. Not many planes fly under 1000 yards except taking off and landing.
