Gun auction in Bluffton on Oct. 31

A little last minute... but if you have nothing else to do on Saturday, October 31, there is a "Fall Sporting Auction" at the Wells County 4-H Park on the south edge of Bluffton. Over 150 guns plus fishing equipment and tools are on the list to sell. I found their catalog of guns listed at their website: 1031

Mostly long guns and revolvers, but I did see a few autos I might bid on... and if you are into relics, their might be some for you there too.
I think they are open for visitors to browse this afternoon.

So if you have time before you go out to trick-or-treat on Saturday, it ought to be a nice show.

I will be in Bluffton this weekend and just might find my way over to the 4-H grounds. The thing that really bothers me about many auctions recently is the 10% buyers premium that is slapped on each item on top of the selling price. I guess that if you figure that into what you are willing to bid, you will be okay. It just seems like it is coming out of the seller's pocket and puts more into the auctioneer's pocket. Such is life.
