To each his own. If it works for you then that is all that matters since you are the one that will be carrying it. If you like it then go for it. I have never had any of mine done because I don't personally like the way it feels. If you get one done be sure to post pics for us to see.

I think it looks dumb, but I love the feel. To be honest I don't have any, but I have held and shot several that had it and I really enjoy the new grip style. Beats skate board tape any day!

What do you guys think of grip stippling? Is it worth it? Does it really help a lot?

It does help but it's not for everyone as you can see from the responses here. You're more than welcome to check out a pistol or two that I've done and see if you like it. We're not too far apart so I could meet you somewhere or I will be set up at the 1500 show in a couple of weeks.

I may have to take you up on that. I'd like to see and hold one thats been done. I have a Glock 19 and a 21, and sometimes they can be a bit slick to hold on to. Could be from sweat but I dunno. Would prefer to see it before I get it done though.

Definitely a fan for a range/competition gun. The grip it provides is wonderful. However if you carry IWB and your holster doesn't have a backing that keeps the grip from your skin or tshirt, it's EXTREMELY abrasive. You'll eat up your shirts and excoriate your skin very quickly. If it's in an OWB/Belt holster, no problem.

Not all stippling is created equal. I have a friend that I have stippled five pistols for and he carries IWB against bare skin during the warmer months with no complaints.

Try a Brooks A-grip, they don't require you to modify your pistol, give a VERY secure grip, are soft against you skin and MUCH less money than a grip stipple job.
