Reminds me of the famous last words of a violent criminal. I don't recall which state, but I believe it was a liberal one like New Jersey with many gun restrictions. The criminal was threatening the victim with a weapon and got shot for his trouble. As he lay there bleeding to death, his last words were "but I didn't think you could own a gun in New Jersey". Same here, they always prey on what they think is a criminal safe zone / gun free zone. They figure they will be the only one armed so it will be fish in a barrel. I always walk right past those signs at the mall carrying concealed just like anywhere else. The news I saw said he had a permit, but another article pointed out we are constitutional carry since July 1st.

    Yup!

She also referenced "Indiana's open carry law". Indiana, of course, has no such law. But why should I expect accuracy from a talking head?
Once you watch/read a media report on an event or subject that you know a lot about - you learn quickly that they dont have a clue most of the time. I now use knowledge that when evaluating any news story.
