    Went out with my 5 year old and had 2 toms come in strutting following a hen. She was yelping like crazy and they never made a sound. I guess they didn't have to. I told him to close his ears and I shot.

    Then after we got out of the blind to check him out, we had 2 more gobble about 200 yards away. We hurried back in the blind and one came out into the field to check us out. This was his first time out with me getting one and I think he's hooked.

    Now that right there is what you call a succesful morning. That smile is a mile wide!! it looks like you guys had a great time and made some great memories today! congrats on the bird and an even bigger congrats on making a new hunting partner. Good luck to the both of you!

    Great job!! there is nothing better than a day in woods with Dad!! way to raise him right!! If you keep them in the woods they stay out of trouble!! :D
