So, I dropped my SBR lower off today to have the required first initial/lastname/city/state engraved in it.

AND THEY SPELLED MY NAME WRONG.

Where's that "FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU" guy when you need him......

i read a thread where Ident marking mispelled the state of Texas on a Noveske lower. The owner replaced the lower, tax stamp $, and engraved the new one for free. Hope you are able to get this kind of c.s.

Well, since it's an engraving, the only way to "remove" it is going to be to remove enough metal from the entire area to make the engraving disappear.

Now we're talking about, IMHO, compromised lower that needs to be refinished.

I'm hoping, for the sake of simplicity, I can send the lower to Spike's and they can destroy it and serialize another one with my serial number.

I was going to suggest that as the easiest method. Had to have that done with a pistol that was fatally damaged.

This is why you never send your paperwork off till you get the lower engraved first...

It's not that difficult to spell something right if you're paying attention. That's one business I'd never visit again.
