I like and respect Jim Banks, so I ask this with all due respect. When he states that China is stealing $600 billion of our IP each year, what does he mean? They are stealing our internet protocol????? Hah?
    Intellectual property.

They buy :poop: here, take it home, then reverse engineer it.

Then knockoffs show up for a fraction of the cost.

Much of it the IP owner contracts china to build it cheap so they don’t even have to buy the sample.

For example zodiac was the world premiere inflatable boat manufacturer. Their vessels were used by military and commercial companies and they were considered the best in the consumer market inflatable boats. Then they sent their manufacturing to China. Within a few years the market was flooded with cheap knockoffs, often at a third of the price. Then the consumer preferred the throwaway to the quality product if it looked good.

Much of the time business just gave it away…
