I have several Glocks, but when I got my 35 it quickly became I favorite Glock. I have plans for a G34 because I want a 9mm like my G35. Get the G34, if your not going to carry it.

Why do you guys think the G34/35 is the best shooting gun Glock makes?

I've never shot either one, never even held them. So I'm pretty curious.

does the spring in the new gen make that big a difference?

It provides a longer service life on the part (about 2x), reduced wear on the gun's internals (I've never heard of a Glock of ANY generation getting "worn out" through natural wear), and a slight reduction in perceived recoil.

What will make the most difference to folks in Gen4 vs. Gen3 is the trigger reach distance, the frame texture, the ability to change/add backstraps, and the extended/reversible mag catch.

My vote would be the G34. I would love to get one and almost got a G35. Owned the G24 and loved it. Just too long. My next Glock will be a G34 or G35.

G34 or 35 by the sounds of your needs...

Not really a fan of the .40 myself, but I'd probably lean toward the G35. Longer barrel, site radius, and .357 sig ability = alot of fun at longer ranges... A conversion barrel could also be added to the G35 for 9mm also.

A conversion barrel? Just when I had my mind made up too.... apparently I need to do some more research.

Yep... If you go with the G34, it will only shoot 9mm...

The G35 shoots .40 of course and with a conversion barrel and G17/G34 mag, you'd be set up for 9mm. It also can shoot .357 sig with a aftermarket barrel.

Conversion/aftermarket barrels start around $100.00, but if you are planning to shoot alot, you might get a aftermarket barrel anyhow down the road for the ability to shoot alot of lead.

If you want a G34, buy it. Then later on, buy a G19. I have an old Gen 1 G17 (my first centerfire autoloader) and a Gen 3 G19. I will keep both. The G17 is serious accurate, and the G19 is serious fun. And the G19 can use the same mags as the G17 and G34.
