I rarely shoot anything but full powered .357 sig through a G22 and G35. I have used the polished wolf non-captive rods with 20 pound wolf springs. My reasoning behind this was simply due to the fact that if Glock felt I needed a Gen 3 frame (reinforced) to handle the increased slide velocity , then I should go with a different recoil assy and weight .

Recently, I have came across differing opinions from knowledgeable
people stating it might not be such a good idea to change out such a key component. Anyone witness any issues with aftermarker recoil assemblies ? Thanks for any info.

I also shoot 357 Sig in my Glock 22 with a Lone Wolf conversion barrel. I use reloads with a 115g JHP which Chronos at 1500 ft/sec. When I first started shooting this I had a lot of fail to feed with the LW Barrel and the stock Glock 17# recoil assembly. I tried several different spring weights and finally settled on a 22# spring assembly. I now can shoot 50-75 rounds and never have a fail to feed. That said, I have only shot hundreds of these rounds and not thousands, so I can't talk to any long terms effects of the use of higher spring weights

FTF with that round ? Regardless of the barrel I try, I would have a hard time to get a FTF with that round primarily due to the botleneck. I have several Lonewolf barrels, but not in that caliber. For the G22, I have the Glock barrel from a G31. Now in the G35, I have a KKM barrel. I have tried a few 115 gr bullets, but my pet load is using the hornady 125 gr FMJ-FP which I buy in bulk. As a added bonus, I like it also for 9mm loads. I also have had good results with a couple of 147 gr bullets.

Contrary to most other calibers, I have found my best accuracy is with a higher end charge of Alliant's Blue Dot. I have shot many rounds using both the factory 17 lb spring assy and also the non captured wolf 20 lb spring, and have seen no evidence of slide / frame battering with either.
