Im pretty sure it simply says to oil the four prongs with a small amount. I also put some on the barrel and wipe it down just so there is a little but I do not think its necessary per Instructions.
Why is it that a Glock can handle any amount of abuse. It can be buried in sand, tossed from an airplane or driven over with a tank and still functions perfectly. But, get a drop of oil in the striker channel and it's like the end of the world. Cats and dogs living together! That always seems odd to me, but whatever the reason, I am very sparing with oil on my Glocks and only use 6 drops from a needle applicator. On my NP3 Glocks, I tend to run with dry rails on those.
