    I'll keep my gen 3.

    As will I.

I don't mind the "rough texture" frame, but I fail to see any real improvements with the 4'th generation. Some ergonomic changes, sure, but in reality these problems were never as bad as the internet commandos made them sound. Color me unimpressed.

As for the fancy recoil spring, haven't such things have been available as aftermarket parts for some time?

    4th Gen !!!!!

Looks like Glock is caving in to competition....to many "bells and whistles"
complicates a fine combat handgun. I'm staying with my four Gen 2's.

Yep, Wolff Gunsprings readily comes to mind, but I'm sure there are several others.

I put a set of night sights on a new gen 4 Glock 22 just last week, the stippling feels real nice in your hand looks good too! I liked it!

I just picked up my new RTF G19 last weekend. Mine does not have a place to put on differrent backstraps????

Is there a difference between the new models of the RTF frame?

Yes, the RTF2 with the scalloped serrations, is still a Gen 3 GLOCK.

The RTF on the Gen 4 is "less" aggressive, the backstraps are interchangeable, the mag release is larger, and the slide is marked Gen 4.

I think my love for Glocks has now gone out the door. That is ugly. they are trying to make adjustments where they don't need to be made. i am very disappointed. I think I'm going to be M&P lover here soon.

I know I'm probably a minority here, but I really like the looks of the new Glock. The grip looks much shorter (which would be great for my son).
And I think it's only a matter of time before customized backstraps come out that allow for changes in the grip angle.

The M&P is sexier though... I need to get one someday...
