I made a post afew days ago about the new G42 asking how people likes it. I had held one a month ago but it was not for sale. I really want one bad. We'll today I found one at my LGS (Triggers). WOW! This is a nice shooting little .380. I have been a Glock fan for about 10yrs. I even went and took the armorer class after I joined the GSSF. Afew years ago. This little Glock is one of the softest shooting .380's I have ever shot. It seems to have a natural point of aim for me. It is alittle bigger than my Colt XSP .380, but with cargo shorts and a pocket holster I will be using this little G42 for my summer carry gun. For years I would of never carried anything smaller than a 9mm... But I'm starting to really like the little .380's.... I need to put afew hundred more rds throught it, but so far it is just as reliable as my bigger Glocks...

I also bought a G42 a short while ago and haven't carried anything else since. I've only put about 60 rounds thru it so far with no problems. Before the G42, I carried a S&W Bodyguard .380, which is actually a little smaller than the G42, but it's double action is what led me to pursue the Glock. I have seven other Glocks, and that's the reason I have no doubt the G42 will live up to the great reputation the manufacturer has. In my opinion, the single action G42 is the best option in concealed carry for me!

It's funny how when the G42 was announced a lot of people was so upset about not been chamber in 9mm, the more people gets to try it the people that likes it. I think is a great option that Glock came out with. Congrats on a great carry gun.

If you have to go down the road of higher cost ammo & less effective ballistics of the .380, then the Glock 42 would be a natural choice.
It is a tiny little thing. Easy to conceal.
