    You gotta shot them all and pick what fits you best. There's a gun range in Louisville that rents out different handguns for $10 a session. I'm certain there's something around where you live where you can do the same. Rent one of each and have a big day.

    (After all the positive M&P feedback, I'm going to look at one myself.)

    XD's are very easy to work on yourself. I haven't done any extensive modifications to a glock or M&P so I can't compare, but the XDs are almost fool proof. There is really nothing you can mess up. There is a trick here and there to make things easier but even a novice gun tinkerer shouldn't have any trouble.

    I went to Bradis and Plainfield SS today to check out all three handguns in person. I must say that I really liked the feel of the M&P in hand. Nice balance and very comfortable. I also really liked the M&P Pro with 5" barrel and fiber optic sights.

    Plainfiled SS actually had an M&P pro with 5" barrel in Bi-tone for a very good price. I have never seen a bi-tone M&P. There is no mention of one in the S&W catalog or on their website.

    Is this a limited edition model ? New model?

    Thanks again for everyone's feedback!:ingo::ingo:

    I happened to wander by Plainfield Shooting Supply at lunch again today... OK, I work in downtown Indy so maybe it was on purpose. ;)

    I went to look at the M&P Pro in bitone again.

    It followed me home!

    I will post up some pics when I am able to post attachments.

    Thanks again for everyone's help! :rockwoot:

    You'll never be able to post attachments. Gotta host our photos on Photobucket or some such site, and link to them.

    So post yer pics, darn it! :)

    I consider myself a "Glock Guy" but decided to go for the XDm 9mm over the G17 to have something different. I really love the SA. I don't have nearly as many rounds through it as my Glock G27 but I must say it is a great shooter. I love the 19 + 1 Capacity as well.

    I don't think you could go wrong with anything on your list. Can't wait to see the pictures of your M&P...
