At best LEO's might be credited with stopping less than 1% of possible rapes??

IMO, LEO's serve many purposes but being relied upon to stop violent crimes is not one of them.

Not saying it never happens, just that the incidence is statistically insignificant enough that we could spend every penny to be earned to the tenth generation without improving things noticeably. The fact that such occurrences are newsworthy should tell you they're rare.

That is my point exactly. There are a few rapes in Tiny Town every year. But I've yet to see where a LEO has stopped one. Obviously I'm not knocking POs just VP idiots who want my money.

It's only common sense that if we give them more of our money so they can "spread the wealth around" we will all be safer. Didn't you notice the crime rate decrease after our last little stimulus?
