    Had a friend drop by today with a gift.
    A maple slab, 2" thick x 32" wide x 52" long.
    It has been drying in a climate controlled environment for a little over a year.
    It still needs sanded and finished.

    I have the best friends...
    What are we going to be making with it? Assuming a table top of some sorts? But I do have to say from that Pic, I don't see how that's over 4ft long. Maybe my eyes are deceiving me :dunno:

    Tape measure ays 52".
    Yes, I plan to turn it into a table top, but the base is still in question.

    Looks like the beginnings of a nice live edge table or desk. I did some work for a place in Dubois County that made live edge stuff like that with walnut slabs. They would fill all the cracks with black epoxy before sanding and finishing.
