Better hurry.....Silverstatearmory.com has 5.56 in a few varieties, including M855, which is 250 rounds for 175 bucks. That's not bad in the current market, and it is VERY high quality ammo. I just ordered 100 rounds. The 20 round boxes are 15 bucks each.

SSA 5.56mm M855 Green Tip Ammunition, Steel Penetrator, Silver State Armory

Just scroll down and look for the red tab that indicates in stock. This stuff will go quickly, so hurry if you want it.

    How about 20 ga, 2 3/4", 7/8oz, #7.5. From what I see, it is around $6.50-7.00.

I haven't purchased shells in years. Is this the going rate? Or is it up due to the panic?

Online, it appears shipping cost is too high to make it worthwhile to order given the initial price of the box.

Price is not due to the recent panic.

Folks here don't buy much high priced ammo it seems. The only "good deal"
    I saw was 250rd of 40 cal for $40 (if memory serves) but I don't have a .40 :(

For general target use Federal Blue Box at Wal-mart is $5.95 if you can find them. Other brands are ~$7

Been to 3 Wal-Marts. None of them had any and one had a yellow tag showing $5.47 and the other two $6.47. Seems like the pricing changes depending on location. Our Wal-Mart had a "bulk" box for around $26, but I can't remember how many boxes were in it.:dunno:

Where have you seen this? I'm looking for .45acp.

Palmetto State Armory, but they are out right now. They have RWS for $17.99 which is higher than before the panic. I paid $15.99 the last time I bought some.

Watch them, they run free shipping deals occasionally, but they raise the price of the ammo a $1 per box. I guess it depends on how much you buy which way to go.

I'm looking for a deal on 20ga right now.
