Yes, that used to be a real problem. They have started to get more "American" about it in my lifetime. More trust in the individual, strangely. But our "africanized bee" fascination with law and lawyers is gradually creeping in over there.So much for 'an armed society is a polite society', eh? Turns out we can be assholes with or without guns if we're dedicated enough.
Given the German reputation/stereotype, I wonder how prevalent DUI is and how seriously they take it.
