That meme was probably created before Musk bought it. The wild west was called that, not because it had no laws, but because no one was there to enforce laws. Free speech in the US is lawful, except in narrow circumstances. And on X, they do impose and enforce rules on speech. There is a terms of service. And the kind of speech not allowed is covered. You can call people names. Here's what you can't do:
