    i dont think the chafe that comes out of the combine is the same stuff that you are buying is it? at least not proccessed and i would think it would be pretty dirty and dusty.... details on the media?

    i argee. i think it would be entirly to dusty. but im looking forward to seeing if it works for somone. if it works ill never buy m.edia again and neither will anyone on here that wants to pick it up in union couty

    I"m not sure, I was figuring I could just collect up some corn cob chunks and grind them up. If need be wash them off beforehand. I figure its worth a shot isn't it?

    Yup my thought exactly. I"m sure I can find some around here if I just look on the combine, lol. Or we will be doing sweet corn in the next month or so. I may try some of them too.

    Make sure your cobs are good and dry. but I think you may want a little something for the grinding. You are going to invest some labor there.
