I am selling an NFA item to an individual in state via Form 4. The Buyer is using a trust. I have never dealt with a trust before and have some questions filling out the paperwork. Here they are:

    1. Box 2a, the Transferee section, what exactly goes there? The name of the trust and it's mailing address?

    2. Do box's 13a-f and 14a-e get the appropriate check marks?

    3. Does box 15, Transferee's Certification, get filled out?

    4. Box 16, Picture. Not required, correct?

    5. Box 17, Law Enforcement Certification. Not required, correct?

    6. No fingerprint cards required, correct?

    7. ATF Form 5330.20, Certificate of Compliance. Not required, correct?

    Thanks for your help guys.

Include Certification of Compliance with trust.

Box 2 should contain person's name, settlor or trustee of trust.
No, you're very wrong on both accounts

The transferee is the trust, not the settlor/grantor/trustee. If you list the settlor/grantor/trustee as the transferee then you will be transfering to that person individually and then you will need fingerprints, leo sign-off, and cert of compliance, and the the NFA item will NOT be transferred to the trust.

And you do not need a certificate of compliance for a trust seeing as how a trust cannot be compliant, or out of compliance...

Yes. I've learned it's better to send more. Some examiners tell me different (like the schedule A, B, and C not being needed, but I've had some get kicked back without and some not)

I was referring to Box 2 in the Certification of Compliance, sorry I did not make that clear.
