    Ultimately the gun is made out of plastic, and cheap plastic at that. Can you imagine a plastic barrel withstanding the pressure of a .223 or .308 round? To the first guy that shoots one: takes some pictures of your hands for the scrapbook.

    Same thing with glass holding back water - take 1/8" glass and have it hold back 500,000 gallons and you're going to have broken glass... Take 10" Glass and try the same thing :).

    It may or may not be a one-fire sort of situation, but I imagine the plastic would have to be prreeettttyyyyyy thick.

    only the part of the gun with the serial number that would require a back ground check would be 3d printed out of plastic, as in the frame or reciever. the rest can simply be ordered as replacement parts from places like brownells so you can have a real barrel, real bolt. etc.
