Well, I saw this on a CZ forum and had to try it. As you know the compact uses a 14 round mag which gives you a total of 15 capacity. I went ahead and bought a couple of Mecgar 16 round magazines, a couple of SP01 baseplates from CZ Custom and voila! My compact is now 16+1. The SP01 baseplate covers the gap and only adds exactly a half an inch to the bottom of the grip. I'm not sure it was worth all that for two more rounds but I needed a couple of extra mags anyway. I had a good time fighting with the springs and baseplates and now that I have checked it out, it made me happy. Now it is even mo' coola.

They're not that heavy. Heavier than polymer guns, for sure. But I rather like the weight. It definitely helps the accuracy.

    Also... PM sent.

i like the weight also. OP have you ever used the 14 rounders that come with the stock cz rubber base pads? do you know if they are the same length as the 16 rounders with sp-01 base pads? if not could you measure the magazine for me?

I was playing around a bit today and found that I can fit a 16 round mag, along with the SP01 baseplate and the Rami 14 round grip extension in my Rami to make a high capacity Rami. It's not overly pretty this way, but I do like the fact that I can CC with the 10 round magazine, but carry a 16 round mag as a spare.

CZs are some of the most versatile guns made.
