According to the Sheriff's Office, Powell said that she was "foolishly playing" with her uncle's .40-caliber pistol when she pulled the trigger and shot her cellphone, which she was holding in her right hand.

Im gonna guess it was a stolen gun or used in a crime at some point. She shot herself in the garage, then put the gun in the car, and tossed it out the window some time on the way to the hospital??

How does a .40 S&W not penetrate a cell phone and go through her hand? There are lots of holes in the story, if not one completely through her hand.
