    That is a beautiful flintlock! I would love to get a flintlock rifle. If I may ask where did you get yours? I'm still trying to figure out exactly what kind I want and if I would rather buy complete or build from a kit.

    This is a 28 gauge smoothbore fowler made by Jack Duprey. I picked it up a few years back at the Contemporary Longrifles Show in Lexington KY (going on this weekend I think)

    It is an amazing piece :)

    That is a beaut. And to think, when all fails and society crumbles, many will have to go back to manufacturing such wonderful pieces of weapon or fowling pieces to hunt, defend and keep civilization marching on! :)

    Reminds me of an old 10 gauge double barrel black powder shotugn I saw at a gun show in Frankfort years ago. It was probably a goose gun originally, it was long enough you could club them out of the sky. At first I wanted it, but then I figured one day I'd accidentally trip both barrels and send myself to the hospital with a broke shoulder...

    Black powder is a lot of fun. That Flintlock looks like it'd be a ball.
