These wildings happen every weekend on the west and south sides of Chicago but are only drawing media attention when they move to Printer's Row, Streetville or the Gold Coast. It is shameful.

This was just a mob. Or your normal everyday Chicago gang activity.

As usual, Mr. J. has nailed it.

As to the remedy, we at INGO all know the solution but with Quinn in Springfield and Tiny Dancer at the helm on LaSalle Street, these will continue as the hopelessly undermanned Chicago Police Department cannot be everywhere.

As to what will happen, Tiny Dancer will bring in the Sheriff and the Illinois State Police and put two officers on each corner and raise the Chicago sales tax to 39% before he says "you know, maybe if the good people of the city were allowed to defend themselves, this wouldn't happen." Pulling officers from Englewood or Austin will only create problems for the neighborhoods that need police patrols the most.

Someone in Chi-town needs to man up and pull a Bernie Goetz.

That or form a counter-flash mob when a flash mob is painted on radar.

The only mobs we see down here are at the persimmon festival, a ball game, the farmer's market, etc. It's things like this that make me feel blessed I dont have to live in a large city. They can have it and I hope they stay there.

For those that know Illinois politics, is it primarily Chicago's influence that keeps the cork on right to carry? Or is it a "state wide" philosophy? I can't believe the good people of non-Chicago, Illinois are that much different than us, here in Indiana.

It is definitely the Chicago criminal socialist politicians that have ruined Illinois. Daley was very anti 2A and sent a wish list of new gun laws to the legislature every year. Emanuel is also rabidly anti 2A and promises to be at least as bad as Daley. Since, they run the state, the only viable option for folks who can is to leave. I did.

What gets me is where I'm at it's mostly Chicago radio and I can think of several d.j.'s making fun of Indiana like their s*** don't stink in IL and we're all hill jacks. I hate that city and all their crooked politics. They can have their concrete jungle and all that comes with it and I'll stay over here in good ol IN and be out back shooting.:ar15:

Wow. This is scary. If you have ever wanted a reason to carry a full size, higher capacity [STRIKE]handgun[/STRIKE] Assault Rifle with several spare magazines, here is your reason. If your going into an urban area and its legal to carry there, I would do it from now on. A gun could make all the difference for you if you ever were targeted by a group like that.

This is really sad, not being able to protect yourself in one of the biggest cities in the U.S. I will never go to Chicago for anything ever again now that I carry. When I told my wife that Chicago has been having a Flash Mob problem recently, she smiled thinking of the dancing mobs that randomly appear. I said no the only dancing these fools do is on your FACE!!! Plus Chicago and some of their citizens ( well bad citizens) have recently inflated my lovely city and home of Lafayette. Bringing with them lots of Herion and crime. Why you ask? Because it's easier to recieve government housing in Lafayette!!! It's also easier to commit crime and deal drugs in a smaller city like Lafayette. Props to the good people that have moved down here for the good reasons.

No? Then WHY do they keep ending up having to send all of their governors to prison? I would say that if the entire rest of the state didn't want Chicago politics as usual, they would stop electing the people they do to represent them. The people of Chicago may be anti-Constitution and anti-rights, but their representatives are still a minority in the Ill legislature.

The Illinois State Rifle Association is one of the best and most active State Associations that OWNS THEIR OWN 1000 YARD rifle range.

Illinois has produced numerous National rifle, pistol, and shotgun champions over the years, and continue to produce them.

Thank goodness, Illinois is more than just Chicago and that Illinois shooters support their Rifle Association to fight for their 2nd Amendement rights.

We have our own Indiana State Rifle and Pistol Association that defends our rights. Consider joining the www.isrpa.org

Every state has a rifle and pistol association that is the local arm of the NRA.

Pretty much, when HB148, carry bill failed in the house by just a few votes there was only one "no" vote from south of I-80, a democrat from Champaign. Jim.

It is 100% pro-communist, pro-socialist, big-government control types in the Chicago area (both Democrat and Republican, to use common terms in use today) that push for very strict gun control. Last year I went to an in-law family reunion in a small farm town off I-39, almost halfway between Bloomington and Rockford.

Coming from Indy, we took I-74 into this People's Republic. I'm not sure who is behind it, but at a few places along I-74, there are pro-gun signs just out-side the right-of-way (mostly along fences bordering farm or forest type land). If I recall, they were yellow signs with simple, catchy slogans about gun rights. I noticed them going west and coming back east on I-74. Didn't really notice any along I-39, but might have missed them.

The main thing that allows these flash mobs to operate with impunity is the fact that it's assumed that all their victims are unarmed and defenseless.

Their accomplices, the City of Chicago and the State of Illinois see to that...

In a population of armed potential victims, these flash mobs would be a much more rare thing.

But this is the first time I had felt TERROR for my family, simply because I got on a train 2 minutes early.

Okay so I missed where you had something to be terrified for. Was it just because your train headed to an urban area, or did you leave something out?
