Thanks for posting the videos. So other than being loud, what did you think of the range and the overall experience? As someone mentioned above it's good to wear plugs under your muffs there. I shoot there quite often. Just curious of your first impressions.

They were very helpful and nice. They asked which range we wanted to be on, and offered "50?"... we accepted, set up, and put up targets. Unfortunately, we didn't realize it was 50 YARDS. So everyone waited on us as we moved over to the 50 feet range on the right. That was embarassing, but oh well.

Yeah, extremely loud, pretty surprising. Didn't expect that. Got a nice set of earmuffs though, so it all worked.

I also didn't expect the recoil. This was both of our first times shooting, so it was a very new experience. Here's a couple pics of the targets:

Went through about 200 rounds of both 9mm and 40. I'm actually sitting here cleaning them now... that's the tough part -_-

Really enjoyed it though. Couple more videos, friend is the tall one. I'm the short one.

God-awful grip? Yeah, probably. Any pointers? I seriously couldn't hit anything.

We had a few moments... some Failure-to-fires, all different kinds. Some where the round didn't place correctly, one where the ejected casing got stuck, and a couple other small ones... but then it went pretty smooth.

Well on the plus side, it's better than your friend's. :)

Nice range report. Enjoy your new addiction... err, I mean hobby! :ar15:

    Haha yeah, definetly.

He was trying to steady his arm as much as possible, so most of the time he turned facing the right, then had his right-arm across his body with his left hand holding it tight. It tended to work, but I would imagine he's pretty sore today.

My fingers are the most uncomfortable, mostly from reloading two magazines on each of the guns after every session. I really need more magazines...

I'll work on my stance and grip next time. I do have a question, though:

You can't tell it in the videos, but my right-eye is a little weaker than my left. I can't focus with both eyes open, so I essentially HAVE to close one. Is there a certain grip for a one-eyed aimer?
