If someone decides to put together a "Survival and Disaster FAQ" let me know and I can make it a sticky.

Good write up. Some lessons can only be learned by experience and it seems you got your fair share.

Do you have to sign up a google account to download it?

No I have the account and made it public. Just clik the link and you can export it to your computer or view there.

Its working now, if you click the link it views it on the internet and you can go to File, Export, .xls, and save it so it works in Excel.

The file works really well, good job. I like how customizable it is.

If you add your own rows, remember you will have to copy the formulas also because or else the totals will not come up right. It may be easier to just edit an existing row. Put zero's in the column "have stored" for food you do not have.

I usually suggest folks start by putting together a 72 hour kits (just remember you'll need 72 hours worth of stuff for each member of your household).

After that focus on water storage & purification, then start working on laying in some stores of long shelf-lifed food & other essentials, flashlights, radios, medicine, batteries, solar/crank rechargers, toiletries, etc that your family might want or need.
