Yup, LC9s here. EDC the last 5 years, very reliable and accurate enough at close range plus easy to conceal. The Ruger EC9S is a bare bones but reliable handgun. $259 at Rural King. Sometimes on sale for less.
There is no changing her mind. She actually hates guns. Grew up around them but hates them. So it’s that or a big ass argument.
Just buy what you want, for whatever price it takes. That budget is just for the gun. I have been shooting guns without ear protection since I was 8. I have glasses I have to wear anyway. So yeah. But the budget is just for the hun. But that is now on top of whatever I get for my birthday from my in-laws. So it looks like closer to 400
But it did go the way most of our threads go!thread didn't go the way OP planned
I’ve read a lot of opinions about SCCY on this thread but didn’t recall any being a first hand experience. As they say, opinions are like axxholes, everyone has one. What is everyone’s thoughts and experiences on SCCY?
I’m looking to get my first ccw, and I have a price limit of 250. I will never carry a high point so I’m looking at other options. SCCY is a affordable option but I don’t know anyone that has experience with them.

I plan on buying one once they get the Gen 3's out. Will give it my 1000rd test. It involves cleaning and lube, then running it to 1000rds several different bullet types including hollowpoint after 500rds so it has a chance to break in, and lubrication as needed but no cleaning.I’ve read a lot of opinions about SCCY on this thread but didn’t recall any being a first hand experience. No one's brought up COVID yet, have they? But it did go the way most of our threads go!
Too lateI'd rather be illiterate than subservient.
I do a similar test with new to me pistols also. I run them until I get a malfunction. I have been fortunate that I am usually tired of the black "ooze" getting all over everything, that I just concede defeat and clean it. I figure if it looks like it was sitting in the Exxon Valdez wake for a few months, it's probably good to go.I plan on buying one once they get the Gen 3's out. Will give it my 1000rd test. This is perhaps an unfair criticism. We don't know just how anti-gun his wife is and how much work he had to do to get to the agreement he hasOr at least find her purse and retrieve your ummmm..... nevermind.

Check out Gunbroker, might be some deals there. My first CC was a Makarov in 9X18. At best a stop-gap, however.
