Seems like the liberal media doesn't like it when the shoe is on the other foot and they aren't allowed to go and do what they want. Now CNN knows how it feels to be FOX news. Old Cooper seemed to be a little put off.

I'm not sure how they justify the perimeter around the medical trailer (poss. patient privacy issues?) but 65' seems reasonable to me. If you think about it, 65' is pretty damn close to be around an ocean vessel pulling these large booms. not sure about the beaches though, that might be a bit on the shady side....

 Yeah whatever, Our media as been taken over years ago with a series of FCC rule changes that little seemed to care about at the time, You may have heard the name Ruppert Murdock then again perhaps not if your focus on life is 2A & Liberals, In 1983 we "had" 50 owners of Tv, Radio now we have 5 or 6, probably less now with satilight mergers and it does not stop there, we also have a hand full of farm factories, water, oil, insurance & pharmaceutical companies that are at war with each other to protect the bottom line, Always the bottom line! Sure it is possible the media owners could take partisain sides but who do think has more muscle in DC, Big oil or Big media?

Looks like they're using existing law to restrict access. BP, and their contractors are already restricting access to cleanup crew members. Putting up a zone of silence and blindness is not a good idea.

NEW ORLEANS - The Captains of the Port for Morgan City, La., New Orleans, La., and Mobile, Ala. , under the authority of the Ports and Waterways Safety Act, has established a 20- meter safety zone surrounding all Deepwater Horizon booming operations and oil response efforts taking place in Southeast Louisiana.
Vessels must not come within 20 meters of booming operations, boom, or oil spill response operations under penalty of law.
The safety zone has been put in place to protect members of the response effort, the installation and maintenance of oil containment boom, the operation of response equipment and protection of the environment by limiting access to and through deployed protective boom.
In areas where vessels operators cannot avoid the 20-meter rule, they are required to be cautious of boom and boom operations by transiting at a safe speed and distance.
Violation of a safety zone can result in up to a $40,000 civil penalty. Willful violations may result in a class D felony.
Permission to enter any safety zone must be granted by the Coast Guard Captain of the Port of New Orleans by calling 504-846-5923.

That's a blatant falsehood. Thousands of people worked on that spill and the vast majority of them are still alive. We would have heard long ago about any massive die off of people in Alaska. This one is just tinfoil wrongness.

With Obama and his cronies in charge what else do you expect? They just don't want the people to know of BP's and the governments failures.

You're right. We would have heard about it long ago. Just like we would have heard the story in the OP being parroted by every media company in the USA too, right? I can think of a hundred things that Fox covers and CNN doesn't or that CNN covers and Fox doesn't. Just because it wasn't shouted to the tops of the mountains doesn't mean it didn't happen.

I mean, that would be like saying the Indy OC Walk didn't happen because NO ONE covered it. :twocents:

A Class-D felony for crossing the line in the sand? Wow, why does everything have to be a felony?

Why not? It's a felony to grow a certain plant in your back yard. It's a felony to let someone 20 years and 364 days old have a beer. We're used to being told we can't do something without their permission and they know that now, that's why they do it.

I'm no fan of Cooper or CNN, but it appears that OBAMA'S GOVERNMENT has crossed the line on this stuff.

For just $50, buy this helicopter and this camera and fly it along/above the beaches.

Sweet cam. I don't think the helicopter would work though, inside use only.

The government has a systematic approach to criminalize every citizen with all the BS legislation that has/is being put into place. The reason is because a criminal is a lot easier to control than a free man. So give a 20 year old a beer and loose the ability to own a firearm, vote, etc.
