Dude, I have never seen this show and everyone says it rocks jocks! Might have to borrow one some day :D
    Not "one"... ALL.
    BUT,
You must watch them in order. It's a little slow moving right at the first, but if you try to skip ahead you won't *get* a lot of the stuff that follows.

:+1: While each episode can stand on its own, there are many interpersonal issues between the characters that would be difficult to understand without seeing the episodes in sequence.

I was introduced to the series in a backwards way. I actually never heard of FIREFLY but was stuck in the Las Vegas Airport for nearly 12 hours and needed to find something to do. I walked into one of the airport stores and found a display of SERENITY movies. Being a Sci-Fi fan, and having a lot of time on my hands, I picked up the DVD of the movie and found a quiet spot to watch it on my laptop computer. The movie pretty much blew me away, it was so well written and while not on the epic scale of some other movies it was amazingly well done with a great story. The back of the DVD box talked about FIREFLY and that is how I learned the movie was a spin-off of the series.

Needless to say I bought the box set of FIREFLY as soon as I could find it! I'd strongly recommend that people start with FIREFLY and then view SERENITY after seeing the episodes.

By the way, did anyone watch FIREFLY last night? It airs on Saturday evenings 7pm and then replays again at 11pm on cable/satellite channel UNIVERSAL HD. They are running the episodes in sequence. Best of all they broadcast everything in HIGH DEFINITION and that is even better than watching the DVDs.
