    last night

I saw a bunch last night. I feel like there were more when I was a kid too. but I think that has to do with the yard looked a lot bigger than it does as an adult. The most I ever saw was near Center Grove a few years ago. Our yard was full and the trees all around looked like they had mini christmas lights run through them. Never seen that many before or since.

As someone who grew up in the 70's on the river I remember seeing huge numbers of fireflies...In the late 80's I began seeing fewer and fewer...Fast forward to present day and at our little tick ranch in Perry County the front yard literally is lit up again...Just like 'back in the day"....Maybe they are cyclical (sic) just like rabbits or quail??? I don't know but they shore are purty flitting through the fields....
