Became a Life Member of NRA. There is a special pricing promotion and I decided to take the leap.

Looking forward to all those new mailings for donations..... :):

I got my Lifetime a few years ago and (other than the monthly magazine,) have gotten about 2-3 mailings a year from them. Just call and ask and they won't send (most of) them to you.

    Blessings,
    Bill

Good for you for getting the lifetime. I had thought of getting one many years ago but at this point I just continue to renew in 5 year increments. After 20-25 years the mailings tend to slow down... unless you make a contribution then all bets are off. :D

It is tempting but if I re-up, I'm going to get on the list to stop the junk mail. The latest one I got was laughable with the amount of scare tactics. Sadly, no gifts for a re-up this time so I'll wait awhile to see if they include something.

You mean like a $15 windbreaker or a Chinese-made knife that looks good but will break under any real workload, or a statue of an eagle?

Dunno about you, but I think the $700 savings off the purchase of a Life membership is a pretty cool "gift".

    Blessings,
    Bill

For comparison, $300 is the life member price I paid in 1983!

What, and miss out on the NRA Wine of the Month Club, the special life insurance rates, the NRA approved dog toy, baby rattler, condom, mood ring, hearing aid, paper towel, and $40.00 box of checks ( than can be had for $10 from most banks) ?

Who would want to stop those mailings?????

    Three possible ways to qualify:
    1. Retired Veteran
    2. Disabled Veteran
    3. Be referred by a current lifetime member.
    ALSO:
    4. NRA Life Members can sign up "family members and relatives" for Life Membership for $300 each.
If you dont know a life member go to any gun store or gun range and ask any NRA Life Membership sponsor you.
All thay have to do is to call the NRA at 1-800-672-3888
Press 3 for the lifetime dept. Or you can call the NRA Tell them a relative suggested you upgrade to a lifetime membership for $300.
Give them the referring relative lifetime member's NRA #, give them your NRA info, give them your credit card info.

I got mine thru a "relative" at the local gun club. Geez, dint know we wuz related! :): He had been sent forms from the NRA.

PS: I think the current offer ends March 2, but rumor has it that they will have another promo later in the year - prolly before the election.
