In North Carolina, the affected western counties collectively cast 90,000 votes for Trump in 2020 who carried North Carolina by 75,000 votes. That includes the Asheville blue bastion. The situation is similar in Georgia. The Big Blue Bastion in Georgia is greater metropolitan Atlanta. The affected counties overwhelmingly voted for Trump in 2020. The one difference is Georgia's Republican governor, Brian Kemp. That said, he's a Caspar Milquetoast, the epitome of: "Speak softly and get hit by a big stick."

Give me a bit while I pull out a calculator to add up the NC counties west of Charlotte. The news report from which I drew the figures I posted didn't answer your question. Doing a quick scan with a cursor, those western counties were a Trump landslide other than Asheville's (Buncombe). The others were 60-90% Trump with most of them mid-upper 70%.

Buncombe County: ~96,515 / ~62,412. Delta: 34,103 in favor of Biden. Rest assured, Asheville and Buncombe County will be voting. It's the other counties they'll deliberately cripple. Deanne Criswell, FEMA Director, has directed FEMA to distribute relief based on "Equity" using FEMA Equity Strategy and Plan, with all of the "oppressed" receiving relief first before anyone else.
