    "Scare people back into Mexico"?

Do you show them a graph of the us.gov's debt load? Prospective tax rates in order to keep this monster lumbering forward? A photo of Janet Reno?

Just how does one scare a dirt broke, uneducated 17 year old, who survived cartel violence and police corruption, that wants to wash dishes in Chicago back into Mexico?

I mean, think about it. People are willing to swim rivers, walk through deserts full of snakes and scorpions carrying water in milk jugs, be stuffed into trunks all so they work on roofing crews in Texas in August or work construction clean up in Indiana in February?

And the feds think they can scare them???

OR They do it so they can get here drop some babies and collect free money on the American Tax Payer. Getting to the US for many illegal alien invaders is like winning the lottery, free money and they don't have to work.

Top, true, they have survived Mexico and have nothing but the green fields beyond in the Estados Unidos.

If the feds wanted to scare them maybe they could start enforcing the immigration laws, but many states and businesses would suffer as a result.

Kirk you are absolutely right. This is no longer a black and white problem.

It should never have gotten to this point, but the fact remains it has. There are a lot of good people from Mexico that have come here and done well for themselves and the communities they live in. Unfortunately the majority have had the opposite of a positive oeffect on the US. There is no easy solution to the invasion problem at this point. People both Americans and Mexican are suffering and to fix this problem many more, the ones on both sides that have profited from this illegal bonanza of greed are going to have to suffer.

Top, we are on the same side, just pointing out what it looks like from the illegal aliens perspective.:yesway:

It got this way because of politics (political favors on employment/looking the other way granted to Republican-friendly corporations in the Midwest, instead of cutting or abolishing corporate taxes, they wanted destructive "favors"). Draining the swamp in D.C., devolving power to the states, and narrow the focus of the U.S. government to what is supposed to do (protect the borders, deliver the mail, and shoot our enemies in the head--and DHL, FedEx and UPS can deliver the darn mail) is the only way to turn this around.:twocents:

There are laws in place that punish employers for hiring illegals. I say enforce that law, fine every contractor, hotel operator, restaurant and factory. Enough fines will solve the budget deficiet and end unemployment. The illegals will self deport if employers are afraid to hire them. Problem is, both parties like the cheap labor.

So should the government fine a business if their employee commits domestic violence? Should the government fine the World Trade Center owners for the terrorists that brought down the towers? Why is it the responsibility of businesses to do the governments job of enforcing our borders?
