That Sig 1911 Nightmare pictured in one of the earlier posts is one fantastic looking 1911! I've got to get looking for one. Anyone know what gun shop might, just might have one to see and handle?

For CCW, I like the RI CS-Tactical 3.5" .45. For shooting pleasure, I like my run of the mill issue Gov. model, tuned and accurized bullseye gun with a full length bo-mar rib. No fancy bs, just pure performance...
I have a Les Baer Thunder Ranch. I am thrilled with it. It was about half the price of the least expensive Wilson Combat. It has never FTF. The manufacturer guarantees a 1.5" group at 50 yrds. All I know is it is extremely reliable and it shoots where I point it.
My father purchased a 1919 year Colt 1911 'Black Army' model. Unfortunately, Colt indicated they don't have good records from them, so he can't get the official documentation.
Still waiting to shoot it, but it's a thing of American history beauty...by far my favorite that I've seen.
Springfield. If I were to add another to the flock, I think it would be the Ruger SR1911. Since Springfields aren't made in the USA any longer, I'll switch over if I buy a new one.
I have 2 springfields. a loaded and a trp operator both have been flawless. i also do not care for the fact they are not made here but they are a good value for the price. also due to .45 ammo prices i had just bought an sti tactical 5.0 in 9mm so i could take more training, then the panic started and 9 mm ammo disappeared. ran it in a class and really liked it.
