Falcon Menace Arrived!

My new Falcon Menace 5-25x50 arrived today!

I barely had time to look at it, but I can tell you this thing is huge! It's about as long as the rifle it's going to be mounted on.

My initial impressions are good. Just peering through the scope the optics looked nice and clear and I really like the reticle.

I've got to figure out what rings to use to mount the Menace to my .308AR.

I look forward to getting it out to the range!

Congrats on the new scope. They are just as clear as the Leupolds IMO. The turrets are a good size, and easy to grip. Only complaint I have is that the clicks on the turrets aren't crisp, but they are good enough to know when you have turned them.

Do you have any more details? Is it a MOA or MIL scope? Recticle? Where did you get it from?

Im pretty sure that it is a mil/mil with ML16 reticle.

and they fixed the non crisp turrets... my falcon's clicks are louder than my USO's

Hmm next time I get down there we'll have to compare. I have the newer style turrets (3 screw) but they still seem a bit mushy.

I ordered a 4-14x44 from opticswarehouseUK on Friday. Received it Fedex Wednesday. My first impressions are it is built like a tank-big and heavy. While the glass is clear I am initially disappointed in the small field of view on 10x compared to my SWFA SS 10-40M The Falcon does have nice turret clicks. Hope to have it mounted up this weekend.
