I have a old 22lr looks like a Marlin stamped western auto supply,at least once every tube full it will fail to eject the spent case but it will cycle a new case in and jam with the spent case sticking out of the receiver on top of the new shell any ideas will be greatly appreciated . I am thinking it may be a worn recoil spring what are your thoughts .

Thats is the dreaded marlin jam. Western auto had marlin re-stamp them stern auto.

It is not that had to fix, I take it that we are taking 30-30 here.
