It's all over Delaware County, nasty drug that is ridiculously popular and ridiculously easy to manufacture. Once the user gets to that paranoid state of mind, then it seems like all hell breaks loose! Messed up. :noway:

I've been in criminal justice system for 15 years. Meth heads are less likely to reform than heroin junkies. It is one nasty nasty addiction. No one is a "recreational" meth user. They will steal anything that is not nailed down.

Had a meth lab next door, bunch of tweakers moved into the rental property. First time around (yeah, MULTIPLE TIMES) they cooked and it smelled up the entire neighborhood. Acidic, sweet, ammonia smell. I called the police, they said they had recieved several complaints, would investigate it. Nothing for a week, then a Deputy's cruiser appeared there one day. Nothing.

Second time, I saw corroded two liters and gallon jugs in their backyard (shake and bake, I guess they learned from the first time). Similar smell, not as powerful. My other neighbor complained to me one day that he had seen them rifling through the recycling put out looking for bottles. I called the police again. They said, once again, recieved complaints, would "handle it". A day later, the constabulary finally did a kick door on the place and hauled them out.

I sent a strongly worded email to the company that rented the house that if they rented to another drug family, I would not bother calling the cops, strongly worded messages like "ever see what a road flare does to a meth lab" or "if the place goes up, you can't rent it out now can you?". Now we have a very nice family from Florida there who are absolutely wonderful and I got a fruit basket from the rental company. :D

Meth is a horrible plague. Designed to kill and engineered to addict. Meth dealers hold no sympathy in my mind and the users are usually stupid enough to do the drug do not deserve pity either. Meth rots your brain, makes you prone to violent outbursts, do not handle them lightly or with prejudice. Meth head wants your wallet? Put more swiss cheese holes in their head...

Awesome.... When I first started reading your post, the thought of matches popped in my head. I like the flares better!

So many folks are willing to look the other way. We dealt with similar issues when I lived in Indy (pot and crack, not meth). No one, not even the cops, wanted to deal with it. Thanks for standing up!

Henry Lee Summer was the entertainment for a criminal justice convention advertised this summer. I about crapped when I saw it. Wonder if they escorted him to the bathroom between sets? But when he is jacked up he can play all night!

Outside of the horrible drug, the threat of explosions and gassing that faces communities from these labs is a VERY real threat. While not a powder magazine, an exploding meth lab can take out a good chunk of a city block if large enough.

While I sound hypocritical, weed I am not angry against. But crack is just as bad as meth, granted not as quick in damaging to clientele (but does similar damage over time) or dangerous to make, it is designed for one thing: Addiction. Crack dealers generally don't do their own products, so they are not like meth heads who cook either for a little profit but mostly to make their own supply. Crack dealers are only in it for money and what sickens me is the glamorization of crack dealing, even in popular music. Tons of money to be had, yes due to people's stupidity for doing the drug, but selling a horribly addicting drug that takes people that are already mentally weak and turns them into horrible monsters that will murder anyone or do anything to get the drugs. :xmad:

I've had to shuck teeth like ears of corn because of rampant non-restorable decay on otherwise beautiful 20 year olds on more than one occasion. They were brought in by parents that gathered up the pieces after a legal situation or death of a "friend" brought attention to them, allowing family to get reel them back to mom and dad. These were the lucky ones that had family support that was thick skinned enough not to allow the addict to destroy the family and be there for them to help put their lives back together.
