    I would say it depends how much it means to you, if you look at it as an asset to make a profit than don't shoot it. But it looks like you have a great fondness for it and I would go with the advice that you only live once, might as well live for an experience than a price!

    You will never shoot it enough in your lifetime to wear it out and degrade it's value. Go out and shoot it and have fun. You will not find a pistol that can be more fun to shoot. Keep it clean and it should run all day long.
