What makes you think the media would broadcast it without “spin”?

“These poor protesters, exercising their First Amendment rights of speech and assembly, gunned down in the prime of their lives by vigilantes; supporters of Donald Trump,......”. You get the idea.

and of course, the images would be carefully blurred or cropped to not show the weapons.

BLM Shuts Down ACLU Speaking Event at William & Mary

In what must be among the most convoluted logic used to justify it, a group identifying itself as BLM shut down a "Free Speech" event at the College of William & Mary being conducted by none other than the ACLU. They effectively shut the event down completely by occupying and taking over the venue shouting various mantram. More about it is here:

One of the mantram chanted to shout down and shut down the event is a dead giveaway about communists and anarchists having coopted BLM shifting it to the same extremist violent left as AntiFa:

"The Revolution Will Not Uphold the Constitution!"​

Along with it was this mantram which is now part and parcel of the current identity politics tactics communist/anarchist ideology:

"Liberalism is White Supremacy!"​

In other words, if you're a political conservative, you're a Nazi, and if you're a political liberal, you're a White Supremacist. A Tucker Carlson segment on Fox News challenged Jumaane Williams, a NYC Council member and ardent BLM supporter about their behavior. Williams justified it stating that protests and Civil Disobedience were a traditional 1st Amendment activity. Holding such a protest to shout down and shut down others' speaking events was therefore protected 1st Amendment activity. Cognitive dissonance ensued and my head nearly exploded. I see your point, but still prefer to have them living in abject terror rather than spreading their brand of chaos and destruction of persons and property unabated. Fear can be a very powerful motivator. You cannot force an inward change in another person, but sometimes forcing outward compliance is adequate.

Well. The ACLU had the mics and I presume they control the volume, so as the protestors chant hyperbole like "ACLU, you protect Hitler too," the speakers can turn the volume up on their mics and talk over the ideologues. It's a nonsense chant. No one is "protecting" Hitler. It's absurd, and if the depths of absurdity need to be shouted, and augmented by the auditorium's PA system, all the better.

Another part of it that is utterly mind blowing to me is that William & Mary is literally co-located with Colonial Williamsburg. You might suppose that the constitution would be venerated there, but apparently not.

Not sure if you guys remember about a group of Antifa folks who attacked a police car in France and set it on fire (with two officers inside).
They also attacked one of the officers with a metal pipe as he was getting out of the burning car.
It was last year, I think I posted pictures in that thread.

That's when one of the masked attackers (apparently a Swiss citizen) is about to throw a road flare thru the back window ...

The group of people involved in the attack has been tried yesterday.

They got 4 years (meaning they will just spend 2 in prison) for busting the windshield of the car with a bollard ... while the officers where inside the car.

Two and a half years for the one who attacked the police officer with the metal pole.

Still amazing that no shots where fired by the two officers.

And they were not immediatly incarcerated after the trial as it's often the case.Meaning they might not even go to prison if they don't show up at a later date.

If they go to prison and behave they might not even do the full sentence.
