It you are coming down on a Saturday there is almost always a good shooting competition going on down here. Hit me up and I'll show you around.

This Sat is a huge Zombie shoot in Poseyville about 30 minutes west of Evansville.

The zoo is ok. When I went a couple years ago I was certainly underwhelmed. If you've ever been to Indy zoo, St. Louis zoo, or basically any other zoo EVV isn't even in the same ball park. If you're going to be in town anyway I'd say go for it but if you are making a long trip just for the zoo you may be disappointed. The Amazonia exhibit is kind neat though.

If you are looking for a reason to visit EVV wait for the West Side Nut Club Fall Festival :rockwoot:. Come hungry.

    How about Historic Roberts Stadium?
    Or Mesker ampitheater?
    Blue Angels air show?
    Hydroplane races?
    nvm I give up.

You could see what is going on at the Ford Center which is the new stadium. Also Casino Aztar is a pretty good casino if you are into gambling. Much better than the one in Shelbyville if you ask me, mostly because Aztar has real table games. Black Jack is easy to learn and as long as you follow the tables (which you are allowed to have in front of you) and play responsibly you won't lose your butt. It's fun too! I'd usually break even and then ask for a comp since I always used a players card. Usually got me a free sandwich for my time. For something to cool off during the summer there's Swonder Ice Arena to skate at or visit a G.D. Ritzy's for some really good ice cream.

For restaurants, Turoni's has the best pizza in town. I always liked Shyler's for BBQ-very affordable too. Gerst Haus (spelling?) for authentic German. Donut Bank is kind of like the Long's Bakery of EVV for baked goods.

Get breakfast at the Cross-Eyed Cricket. Very good eating there. Also their pies are friggin awesome!
+1 on the LST 325, and if your into historic stuff, check out Angel Mounds park.

If its a zoo you are looking for hit St. Louis or even Louisville has a pretty cool zoo. Everyone else has some good ideas for Evansville. If you go to the Otters game, you'll see us :)
