We decided to work on a car port we started last year. Today we figured we'd start to finish it. As I was hitting a nail with the heaviest hammer I own, I missed. My left thumb nail is 25% blue/black, and the knuckle hurts like a (pick your words of choice here).

    UGH it hurts.
Hope op and wife are doing good, I didn't read past the first couple posts.

While leaving my wifes grandparents I took a header down the concrete stairs. I twisted my ankle, and scraped up my arm. While I was face down heading down the stairs my M&P fell out on the stairs but thankfully unharmed. Gladly no ER trip, but it was close.

glad to hear the M&P is alright!!:rockwoot:I spent the day crawling around in the attic taking care of a couple of projects before the temps climbed to high to make it unbearably hot up there.

At 1am, the pain in my thumb was to much. I took a candle, needle, and vice grips and poked a hole in my thumb nail. It's amazing how it didn't hurt *stunk* and the instant relief it created... now it just kind of tingles instead of full throbbing pain.

I have a better way... get a small drill bit, sterilize it and slowly hand turn the bit till your nail opens. You are less likely to get a puncture or infection.

Thankfully no ER visits this year. (Hope Mrs. Longbow is on the mend!)

I did narrowly miss a head-on collision on my way to Easter brunch at my mother's. Lady decided to run a red light, while I was turning left in front of her on a green arrow. Much screeching of tires and honking of horns (and surely a few expletives). But, we made it safe and sound.

I had my 6 year old's Easter ruined by unthinking inlaws who KNEW he is allergic to artificial food dye, yet proceeded to fill his basket with stuff he can't eat. Totally furious with them for ruining the holiday for my family.
