    I think if I'm struck by lightning.
    And my weapon discharges.
    I was pretty much destined to die that day.
    When you reach your personal expiration date, you're gonna expire, no doubt, but there's no reason to believe that both lightning strike and AD in conjunction is necessarily fatal. All of my carry rigs have the barrel pointed in a (roughly) safe direction should the Liberals turn out to be right and they gain an evil consciousness of their own and just decide to discharge right there in their holster as I carry them, the bullet would still be directed away from me, and any resultant burns will just have to be treated in their turn if I also have lightning burns.

    Find the tallest tree in sight and quickly run under it...when lightning then hits the tree the density of the wood will slow it down and weaken it thus rendering you and your sidearm safe!
