Was driving through Anderson the other day and came across Crackshots Gun Shop. I've never been there before nor have I heard of it (don't go to Anderson very often). So I gave it a whirl. Went in and walked straight up to the handgun counter. Little bit of steep prices I noticed on the new stuff, but then I saw it... A used, but quite nice stainless (finding out it may be nickle...) K9 was givin a big old grin in my direction, much like when you find your perfect mutt at the shelter... And the price was quite inconsistent with the others! It was a sign I thought, so I put the bugger on layaway (very friendly service at Crackshot, btw) and after thinking about it day and night (for two whole days...) I decided I was gonna loan myself the money and went and drove it home. I took a little excursion by Pop Guns and ran a box of 50 through it, all without a hitch and with an accuracy that did not hinder my capability what so ever. As expected with a DA only (semi DA like a Glock actually) trigger was a bit long of a travel, but was silky smooth and did not have the staging like a Glock. And oh boy, this little Kahr feels nice in my lumberjack-like hands!

So, if you ever considering one, high recomendation coming from here! Now I want a .40 model too... but I still gotta figure out how I'm gonna pay for this one!

nice gun. Kahr's make great BUG guns in my opinion. The one you have does indeed look to be electroless nickel. Congrats! :D

Kahr makes some really nice pistols. They believe in holding really tight tolerances, and after you shoot one, you can understand why they are not by any means cheap.

    ENJOY!!!

I had one of those, and I really liked it. But they are HEAVY, which means they shoot pretty well. I traded it for a PM40, which is easier on the hip. I really did like that K9 though, it was definitely well made.

It's not the weight that gets you; it's the weight to size ratio. A K9 weighs about the same as a Glock 17, but the Kahr is much smaller so you "expect" it to weigh less. The Star Firestars suffered from the same phenomenon back in the day.

The upside is the the K9 shoots better than any pistol its size has a right to. It reminds me of shooting a Smith 5906 - solid chunk of steel, minimal recoil, laser accurate.

Nice gun. I am certain you will like it.

I have a PM9 and the trigger is long like you described yours. It took me a few extra trips to the range to get used to it, but I made the sacrifice :D. I love it now.

I guess dense would be a better term. I picked it up with my loaded G23, and I swear the Kahr had it beat by a few ounces. It would certainly have made for an excellent weapon even without the cartridges.
