The last couple nights have been okay behaviorally, it sounds like they are getting a little squirrely tonight. The bike recon scouts are acting different than they have the last two nights and officers are reporting gallons of milk being passed amongst the crowd. I didn’t hear any of that yesterday.

They're really only rioting in democrat controlled areas, and destroying businesses sympathetic to their cause.
The best thing we can do is contain them to their own mess. They are, quite literally, cutting their only lifeline.
Once their lifeline snaps, we need to make absolutely sure no aid is rendered to these places and they're left to wallow in the hell they created.

The thought amoung the anti-American identity politics crowd is that the US can never be admired or revered until all the sins of the past are erased. That is their ultimate goal. It's not enough that we're improved over time. To them the sin of slavery will always be a stain even though it's been eliminated. They don't think America can be redeemed by getting better, only through complete destruction.

It's why "Make America Great Again" was so triggering to them. It's why we hear people say "America was never great." These types will continue to try and dismantle the founding tenants of this country piece by piece until they are completely erased.

I did see one big difference in the video I saw; Compassion. In most Antifa beatdowns, the person is unconscious, yet the kicking and beating continues until the assailants feel its time to stop. All the while their allies are cheering them on. This time there were compassionate guys in the crowd pointing out he is ready to tap out and to allow him to get up and move on. Critical difference between us and them.

I know formal education is undervalued on this site...I suppose everyone would be happy if HoosierDoc got his degree from Discount Tire and Auto.

That said, I'm surprised that someone who at least had to study history has no sense of the scope and scale of our own American history. To tear down a monument to those men who died in a prisoner of war camp is stupid.

Should we tear down Auschwitz for a trendy theme park? The Normandy graveyards would make a super golf course.

Exactly. They are burning the candle at both ends (along with CVSs) and they will very quickly burn out their “message.” It won’t resonate and will drive good businesses out of urban areas.

It appears his mistake was almost saying "all lives matter" instead of saying "black lives matter".

I think they may need to weight him down with stones in the fountain.... if he floats, he's a racist. If he drowns, he's not. It's the only way to know for sure.

I think South's dedication of (and to) memorials rings differently to my ears. To mix metaphors, I see them as mostly a middle finger to the North. Their words provide thin veneer for their policies that necessitated the War.

I do not doubt the heroism, bravery, and loyalty of their soldiers. Some of my ancestors are counted among them (although more for the Union, if we're keeping track). But to memorialize those qualities within that army immediately calls to mind what they were fighting for. That should figure prominently in any memorial to them, but as that site points out, no one even talked about it.

They were fighting to preserve the only way of life they knew; possibly to be joined by us, doing the same thing.
