Never underestimate the power of printing money. I would bet against that 4 month target because all of our problems can be hidden by money printing.
That is until it can't be hidden any longer. I'd say the dollar sell off is closer to 4 years away. First we will see Japan, then Europe then us. It will be dominoes and we will not be th efirst to go down. We will be the last but we will go down without question.
I have seen many doom and gloom reports that were wrong.
However, the fed is running out strings to pull.
The recovery is the worst ever.
It looks like our only option now is war and we have been at war for over a decade.
Once that happens... it will be total collapse, followed by utter confusion and then massive anger and violence. Our divided nation will fall apart until a new nation and new currency is born to unite us all to start the rebuilding process.
I don't know if it will be 4 years, 4 months or 4 days.... But I don't think Japan and Europe will be first. Our dollar is secure until the rest of the world grows some balls and rejects it and sells off their $ reserves.
The problem is that so many of them have invested so much in us, they are all reluctant to take severe losses and run.
Eventually it will happen though. That I'm pretty sure of... and when it happens, it will be quick and violent. Germany has already asked for their gold and Iran, Japan and Russia are trying to trade oil for currencies other than the US dollar.
The question is what will be the fallout locally when the world rejects the US dollar?
I assume our market will flood with it... We will see a spike in local money supplies and everything will seem fine at first, until the bottom falls out hard and the American people lose faith.
Once that happens... it will be total collapse, followed by utter confusion and then massive anger and violence. Our divided nation will fall apart until a new nation and new currency is born to unite us all to start the rebuilding process.
Luckily we have invested a lot of money in infrastructure, so I assume the rebuilding process won't be as bad as I fear.
