Just out of curiosity, what would happen if the Officer has a ND while retrieving an unfamiliar weapon ?

Maybe, I'm no lawyer...but I see both sides of this issue. I look forward to a court ruling that puts this debate to rest once and for all.

Out of curiosity, what, if anything, does the LEA teach regarding what constitutes proper Reasonable Articulable Basis for Concern for Officer Safety, out side of the "go home at the end of your shift, bar none" philosophy?
